Dr. Ignacio “Nash” Tan is the owner and founder of Prime Vet Corporation and the man behind Edmonton South Animal Hospital. He has been practicing veterinary medicine since earning his degree in 2000. He grew up in the Philippines and was always around animals, either at home or with his friends. Dr. Tan is moved by the friendship, loyalty, compassion, and support that pets provide. He loves the challenges that come with working with animals. Dr. Tan enjoys the personal bonds that he develops with his clients and their pets and loves knowing that he is helping them live their lives to the fullest.
Dr. Tan studied at De La Salle Araneta University in the Philippines and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. He attended the Veterinary Skills and Technical Enhancement Program at the Ontario Vet College at the University of Guelph in 2009. His many professional interests include general practice, emergency medicine, veterinary surgery, and dermatology. Dr. Tan is also certified to perform TPLO surgeries.
Dr. Tan is married to his loving wife, Amanda, and they have three children. Fort, their oldest, is five and an aspiring vet, Amelie is three and super cute, and their youngest child, Nahum, is one. They also have a cat named Shaya who is quite a character. During his time off, Dr. Tan loves to spend time with his family. He also enjoys exploring the great Canadian outdoors and getting lost in foreign places.
